Buy Low – Sell High

Social Air is selling semi-private jet travel at a cost of $2 per seat per mile.  The key is to buy these miles at a substantially lower price.   Although jet charter companies charge for flight time in terms of hours, by factoring in the average speed of the aircraft it is a simple matter to arrive at a rough per mile cost for operating jet craft.   As it turns out, whether a jet is a heavy jet that seats 16 passengers or a light jet that seats only four, the cost per seat per mile works out to a little under $1 per mile.

As long as Social Air can continue to buy jet miles at a cost of under $1 and sell them for $2 and under, there will be plenty of margin for profit.
