Although SocialAir will not own or operate any aircraft, there will undoubtedly be some liability insurance requirements. These may be as little as an umbrella coverage to back up the operators’ coverage. Or there may be some custom policy related specifically to our type of business. (Insurance against two members getting into a fight on a jet, for example).
There are companies that specialize in this type of business, such as Transport Risk. Chances are they will have a standard policy to match the SocialAir business model.
I have not researched the cost for this coverage yet, but no doubt the insurance premiums will add a nominal amount to fixed costs.
