Operators are the companies that own and operate the aircraft that Social Air Members will travel in. When Social Air has a critical mass of Members ready to fly together, Social Air staff will contact these operators and arrange to charter the appropriate aircraft. All business transactions with aircraft operators will be with Social Air, not with Members directly.
Many of these operators will be the same charter companies that are listed in the competitive analysis section. These are companies that are trying to maximize utilization of their existing fleet. Some operators may be smaller organizations or even individual operators. It will make sense to secure strong relationships with a few key operator partners, while maintaining a broad source of additional providers in order to ensure availability.
Social Air staff will maintain existing relationships with the operator base, developing programs to keep engaged with them. The more robust the operator base is, the more likely aircraft will be available at the best possible rates when we need them.
As Social Air volume increases, we will be able to request volume discounts from operators. Since the Social Air pricing model is designed to make the company profitable even if paying standard rates for air charter, these volume price reductions will simply enhance Social Air profitability.
Operators are associated with the aircraft they operatate in the Social Air database.
