Key Positions

As a web-based social membership, Social Air will endeavor to maintain the lowest possible employment levels.  Following are the key positions that we will need to consider hiring for when the revenues allow.

Product Manager

  • Develop all web-based properties and services including:
    • Public website
    • Members’ Portal
    • Back-end Admin
    • Mobile Apps
    • Social Integrations
  • Gather requirements and feature requests from Members
  • Design key features of Members Portal
  • Develop user interface standards
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director on branding
  • Develop a robust development environment including
    • Git version control
    • Dev/Stage/Production servers
    • Coding standards
    • Documentation

This includes the Members-only website through which Members book travel, as well as the back-end administration website through which staff can manage operations.

Operations Director

  • Develop and maintain systems to engage with aircraft, airports, FBOs, and other organizations related to providing services to Members.
  • Ensure consistent high quality performance of all web applications, including web server management, web development, security, email, access, etc.)
  • Ensure all team members have everything they need to do their jobs

Flight Director

  • Focus on achieving peak efficiency in terms of asset utilization
  • Balance Member convenience with utilization efficiency in recommending flights to members
  • Identify hidden trip opportunities using heuristic, scoring, and social tools, including multi-leg flights and alternative locations

Member Relations

  • Maintain consistent, engaging communication with Member base through various channels including;
    • Email newsletter
    • Blog
    • Tweets
    • Message of the Day in Members Portal
    • Special events
    • On the jets, of course!
  • Tell the SocialAir story as often and as enthusiastically as possible
  • Gather information about what Members want or think through various means:
    • Surveys/questionnaires
    • Website feedback system
    • Social networks
    • Phone/Skype
    • Email
    • Text
    • Ask them, in person, on a jet!

Marketing Director

  • Develop a marketing strategy to launch successive phases of expansion that increase membership by orders of magnitude
  • Facilitate and coordinate activities of all other marketing oriented staff, including web developers
  • Manage the implementation of all marketing programs
  • Ensure proper tracking of all marketing programs and analyze results

Social Media Specialist

  • Develop a presence on all major social networks
  • Build follower base through using standard and guerilla social marketing tactics
  • Develop content and or manage content developers to produce a steady stream of copy, photos, and video for posting
  • Develop programs to recruit in real-world venues

Search Engine Marketer

  • Manage a sophisticated lead generation system based on Google AdWords
  • Do keyword analysis to identify best key words and phrases
  • Write text ads and run A/B tests to identify best performers
  • Create banner ads for use in the Display network
  • Manage bidding strategies to get optimal CTR and CPC
  • Set up dynamic landing page system that optimizes content based on the ad clicked
  • Conduct regular A/B testing on landing page elements, copy, etc.
  • Analyze results for constant improvement

Public Relations

  • Generate a list of possible media channels and or personalities that might publish stories about Social Air
  • Nurture relationships with people who could publish stories
  • Develop interesting stoy angles and write press releases to feed to writers/editors/bloggers, etc.

Financial Controller

  • Manage all aspects of ownership shares
  • Manage daily accounting
  • Payroll
  • Taxes
